Stephen Strathdee is a commercial photographer based in Vancouver, Canada. Shooting with state-of-the-art digital equipment, he specializes in capturing and documenting live performance.

 

"Composition, context, integration, orientation, colour, and flow: these all capture my attention; I'm always looking at things to discover their how and why. I can see beauty in (just about) all that surrounds me."

His work has been published in the Vancouver Sun, Washington Times, Baltimore Sun, Towson Magazine, and in Where Magazine. His portrait photography is used as reference material in the book Digital Portrait Photography and Lighting. Strathdee’s wilderness photographs were licensed by the Washington State Tourism Authority, and he was a featured photographer on the Zed television program on the CBC. He frequently displays his work in Vancouver at Exposure Gallery.
